Register for a one-day wetland bootcamp with EcoSource Pa at: https://www.ecosourcepa.com/course-calendar/

07/23/2019 @ Frick Park, PA, FOR MANAGERS & OTHER NON-DELINEATORS.

ECOSOURCE'S 1-DAY COURSE IS PERFECT FOR NON-DELINEATORS, MANAGERS & THOSE THAT WANT KNOWLEDGE, BUT OTHERS WILL BE PERFORMING THE ACTUAL DELINEATIONS/FIELD WORK/REPORTS. OR FOR EXISTING DELINEATORS THAT WOULD LIKE ADDITIONAL FIELD TIME AND FIELD EXPERIENCE.

This course is not intended to be a substitute for the 3-Day Wetland Boot Camp, and you should not expect to be able to delineate wetlands and write reports afterwards. You WILL be able to identify potential wetlands in the field, but others will be performing the actual field work, and collecting the data. If you wish to perform the actual field work and create wetland reports to submit the Agencies you should attend our 3-Day WETLAND BOOT CAMP first.

This is a 1-day crash course in jurisdictional wetland and stream identifications. The morning is in the 'office' learning the basics, and the remaining portion of the day in the field seeing lots of different areas.

Not everyone that wants to learn how to ID wetlands and streams in the field will be doing the technical portions (collecting data, tying flags, writing report, etc.) Some people just want to know how the process works, and how to more intelligently walk in the field.

In this course you will learn how to delineate wetlands from a non-technical perspective and be able to quickly and efficiently call out problem locations for your projects.

You will learn the "unofficial ACOE "foot test", learn Hydric Plant ID Techniques for non-botanists, and other tips and tricks on how to quickly identify areas of concern.

Most importantly you will receive real-world field experience and a copy our "Wetland Field Book Manual", which is like taking the course home with you. After the class you will keep this handy little Manual in your truck, briefcase, or trailer. When you go to walk land on your own, take it with you to quickly and easily identify potential problem areas.

Gain Real-World, Field-Experience!
A major portion of this course is ‘field training’; in the woods, for short walks, on sloped and wet terrain. You are attending this course at your own risk; albeit a small risk. We do our best to pick field locations that are easily accessible with little to no effort required. Still, on the first day we ask that you sign a hold-harmless document for all field work and traveling to the locations.

"Wetland Training Certificate of Completion"

The "wetland training certificate of completion" confirms your PDH-hours of comprehensive training in wetland identification and delineation in accordance with Section 4.5(b) of the PA's Engineer, Land Surveyor and Geologist Registration Law. There is no actual government sanctioned program for certifying someone as a "wetland delineator." And no certification is required by any agencies. Much like Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plans, and even preparing your taxes, as long as you use the mandatory State & Federal guidance in the proper way, your submissions will be accepted. Therefore, knowledge and real-world skills are key to a good wetland delineation, so the knowledge and the skills are what we provide.
