ALCOSAN Open House is the region's largest watershed and environmental festival, the ALCOSAN Open House featuring hands-on environmental exhibits, treatment plant and laboratory tours, microbiology and watershed life demonstrations, and educational activities for all ages!

Hundreds of students from 98 schools took part in things ranging from constructing a 3-D model of a watershed using everyday objects to completing a series of hands-on activities to learn about the effects of water quality on microbial activity. Participating schools included Pittsburgh Public Schools, North Allegheny School District’s McKnight Elementary and Marshall Middle School in Marshall Township.
